Checkout

The checkout area of your online shop.

Cart

If the option Shipping details expanded (1) is activated, the shipping details can already be displayed in the expanded state in the shopping cart. The setting Prevent offcanvas cart (2) ensures that the Offcanvas shopping cart does not open when an item is added to the shopping cart. This always makes sense if the shop is designed in such a way that customers usually add many items from the listing to their shopping cart. This is particularly useful if your shop specialises in B2B customers.

Example:

Product number input

By default, the product number input is only displayed in the shopping cart. And only if there are already products in the shopping cart. In the Offcanvas shopping cart, however, the product number input is completely missing from Shopware's standard system.

With Display (1), in addition to the standard display, you can show the product number input when the shopping cart is empty or you can also hide the display of this input field completely.

With Display (Offcanvas) (2) you control the function in the Offcanvas shopping cart. Here you can choose between the three modes: Show never, Show always and If products are in cart.

Basic configuration

In addition to the default layout of the checkout, the theme offers an additional two-column checkout layout (1).

The "Summary" on the right side can be displayed sticky while scrolling using the Checkout summary sticky (2) option - so the "Submit order" button always remains in view, even with longer shopping carts.

Optionally, the checkout steps (3) can be enabled to give the user an overview of the three checkout steps.

The checkbox for terms and conditions and revocation is often overlooked, which is why the Confirm terms of service position (4) can be moved near the "Submit order" button.

The length of the description of the payment and shipping methods can be defined in the Length of Payment shipping method description (5) field. From 75 characters, the text is shortened by default, which is not enough for some shop operators.

The fields Visible payment methods limit (6) and Visible shipping methods limit (7) indicate how many payment or shipping methods are directly visible. All other shipping methods can be folded out via "Show more" in the checkout.
