# Placeholder

> Feature of the Pro version

Sometimes you don't want to insert an element in a column, but want to keep a white space. With the placeholder element you can replace the content of a block. Nothing is then displayed in this column in the storefront. The placeholder element is already included as a standard element in all columns and layouts. However, you can place it in any block with other elements using the **Replace element** function.
