Default layout

With Shopware 6.6 at the latest you should define your own standard layout. We'll show you how to do it here.

1. Create your own product page layout

To create your own product page layout, simply duplicate (1) the locked default product page Layout. Now configure (2) the newly created copy of the standard product page Layout.

2. Design product page layout

Delete the two unnecessary blocks "Product name & manufacturer logo" (1) and "Gallery and Buybox" (2). After each deletion, Shopware will save the layout and show a red or yellow error message - depending on the order in which you follow the steps above.

Don't let these messages put you off and continue deleting the second block. The error messages disappear as soon as all unnecessary blocks have been removed and the block "Image gallery and buy box with product name & manufacturer logo" (1) has been placed.

You can find the block in the block category selection in the “Theme [THEME NAME] - Commerce” section.

Cloud themes from version 4.0.0 will find this block in the “Commerce” block category.

Of course you can also use one of our other gallery and buybox blocks. The warnings will help you remove all duplicate blocks.

3. Layout margins

To prevent the content of your new product page from sticking to the left and right of the browser edge, select the blocks (1) and set values for left margin (2) and right margin (3) in the layout settings.

Tip: To use the theme's automatic spacing, type auto in the fields - we have explained here why this is best practice.

4. Use as default layout

In the layout assignment (1) you can now use click on Set as default layout (2).
